Saturday, June 21st marks many great events. It’s the summer solstice, otherwise known as the “longest” day of the year, and official beginning of summer. But to skateboarders around the globe, June 21st has one meaning: Go Skateboarding Day. Although, if you ask us, every day is a good day to ride your skateboard.
With all that said, this year will be unlike any other. Why? The official Washington-Jefferson Skatepark + Urban Plaza Grand Opening is going down. We’ve been helping the City of Eugene for months plan the days events, activities, and layout for the event. We’re stoked to announce we’ll be hosting a skate demo between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. followed by an competition between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-ish. For more info about the competition, click here.
