This past weekend was an interesting one, both in Eugene and around the Interwebs. We got hit with several inches of snow Thursday evening that continued to fall early into Saturday morning that shut down parts of the city. Power lines were down, buses were stuck in a mess of slush and ice, and a handful of Nike SB faithfuls were waiting it out for a chance to buy the highly anticipated Nike SB X Diamond Supply Co. Dunk High.
Our first camper set up around 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon, 18 hours before the shoe’s release. Tweets were flooding in from all over asking us what the situation was like, how many pairs we had, and if we’d be releasing them online. The response was always the same: First-come, first-served and IF we have any pairs on Monday morning we’d make them available to purchase. We sold out shortly after opening our doors at 11:00.
If you were one of the lucky ones to cop a pair, and it actually wasn’t that hard at the shop–people driving up at 11:00 were jumping in line and getting their size, Saturday afternoon must have felt great. Braving the cold, freezing temps for a pair of sneakers? That’s dedication, so big ups to all those that camped out.
So how long till we see the Nike SB X Diamond Supply Co. Dunk MID?
